Emily's love of sports and movement have been with her for life. Playing three varisty sports at High School in New Hampshire where she grew up, she knew how to put her passion into her professional life somehow. After graduating Cum Laude from Springfield College in 1993, she immediately moved to New Jersey to work in Corporate Fitness and Wellness for a large pharmaceutical company developing fitness and wellness programs for numerous employees. Seeking to grow in this industry, Emily brought her eagerness next to NYC to an investment bank in the heart of Manhattan. Then she helped launch a wellness/fitness program and brand new state of the art fitness program and brand new state of the art fitness facility for 4,000 relocated employees. After four years of hustle and bustle, she moved to Albany to be closer to family and to raise her son Joseph. She contineud working in the field of corporate fitness at various General Electric Wellness centers in the Capital District. After being consistently urged by a wonderful employee residing at one of her fitness centers, to go out on her own, she took the risk and started E Studio. With the help of her yoga mentor, Susan Hoffman, and facing her fears, E Studio thrives today in Latham and Clifton Park.

Throughout the past decade, Erin has taught a wide variety of fitness classes around the area including aerobics, body sculpting, spinning and cardio bootcamp. Erin began practicing yoga almost ten years ago to offset her intensive marathon training and was immediately drawn to the physical practice. Yet between her athletic endeavors and a full-time job in finance, she found it difficult to quiet her mind. With the encouragement of her mother, who happens to be a yoga teacher, Erin began taking weekend intensive yoga teacher trainings. She also travelled regularly to NYC to participate in a variety of barre classes and trainings before barre became available in the Capital District. The barre fitness model was a natural fit for Erin because it couples muscle strengthening and lengthening using yoga and pilates principles, bringing a more balanced and effective approach to fitness classes. Erin is a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness in Albany, NY. Her curriculum included 1000+ hours of science based coursework including anatomy, physiology, myology, and kinesiology, which provides Erin with a great understanding of how the body responds to yoga and barre classes.
